A community which unites the talents of Canada's devoted guitar players to share information and help one another in developing individual talents. In addition the Association envisions the following:

This will be a pre-eminent Association where all dedicated guitarists are welcome, all members are treated equally, and some of the finest players in the land are members.



The Canadian Guitar Players Association benefits guitarists by providing services that foster learning, a sense of community, and a united voice for all.  By utilizing the internet, state-of-the-art technology, and the latest management techniques, the CGPA unites guitarists to share in the exchange of guitar related information. It preserves items of historical and cultural importance, and it strives to set a national standard in guitar playability. The organization works closely with industry sponsors, while regarding its members and volunteers as its most valuable asset. It continually promotes the wealth of Canadian guitar talent to the Canadian public and abroad. The CGPA strives to be a good corporate citizen by collecting unused instruments, repairing them, and donating them to native youth in northern communities at risk.
